| Canoeing, Kayaking, and Fishing are all fun things to enjoy outdoors, and can make decision making difficult. With Canoe the Caney, you can do all three! The Caney Fork River is full of canoes, kayaks, and fishing at any given time of the day. The Caney Fork River is a fishing river, so fishermen (and women) come from all over to experience the stocked waters. Our canoe and kayak rentals allow you to relax, unwind, and enjoy nature at its best. |

The Caney Fork River is a great place to take your family to enjoy the day outdoors away from the T.V. and the hustle and bustle of a busy world. Canoeing and kayaking the river is a wonderful, inexpensive way to build great memories with friends and family!

River and fishing etiquette is something we feel is worth mentioning. On the Caney Fork River, it is easy to get in one another's way due to the amount of people that come each year. However, the river IS big enough for everyone! |
When canoeing the river, one thing to consider is which side of the other water goers to go around. For the fisherman, we had originally asked our customers to try to stay behind anyone with a rod and reel so as not to disturb them or their line. However, some fishing regulars have asked us to have our customers simply ask which direction they would like them to go. In many cases, this is a very simple task and would go a long way to make everyone a little happier. Anyone who enjoys fishing knows that a lot of noise is not conducive to enticing the trout to bite. While on the river, we want everyone to have a great and to be courteous to one another.
| The river is pristine and beautiful as you will see during your paddle. It is our desire to always keep it that way. We, at Canoe the Caney, organize clean up trips for the river, but we ask that you do your part as well. If you have any trash, please place it in the vessel. We will empty it for you, but we sincerely ask that you do not litter our land or water. |

 REMEMBER |
The water is so clear you can see the riverbed and people from all over are amazed at how clean it is. That is partly due to everyone respecting the river and appreciating its beauty by leaving it the same or better than when they arrived.
Excessive noise is frustrating to fishermen and other river users so please try to keep the noise to a minimum. Limit groups to a moderate size when possible, smaller groups are less intrusive
Respect other river users, pass fishermen quietly without disturbing their hole or line. Make room for others at heavily used access points.
Practice minimum impact and help maintain the pristine environment: Pack out all garbage and the garbage left behind by others.
Show respect for locals and private property: These people own the land you paddle through.
