Trout Fishing

Looking to catch the Big one? The cool, oxygenated water of the Caney Fork river is stocked by the the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency (TWRA) with over 100,000 fish every year, making the river an angler’s paradise! It is not uncommon for fishers to hook five and six pound trout! That’s right, we measure them by the pound in the Caney!

The best area for trout fishing, from Center Hill Dam to Betty’s Island, is completely accessible by our canoes or kayaks, but only half of this area is accessible by foot, ensuring our fishers have an ‘oar’ up on the competition! We’ll drop you off at the boat ramp just below the tailrace of Center Hill Dam, where you’ll find an abundance of fish already in attendance! The Caney Fork River is about 20-30 yards wide, on average, and flows on average about 125 cfm, so it is the perfect spot to catch the fish your family and friends will hear about for years!

Rainbow TroutThis is a fantastic opportunity for fishing enthusiasts and beginners alike! Plenty of experienced anglers have cherished memories of learning to fish from family, and this provides
you a safe and comfortable opportunity to help your family build those memories without having to fork out thousands of dollars to outfit you and your family with fishing gear!
