Haunted Canoe Trip

Setting the stage for this chilling adventure, your tour will begin with a  ride to the old cemetery where you’ll hear the true and disturbing accounts of a flooded town, lost graves, ghostly visits, unexplained voices, and sounds. You will then take a short walk to the old dock where, along the way, you will hear other accounts of ghostly hauntings as you walk through the old military base.

Once you arrive at the dock, you will board your boat and paddle over the original location to the old 1800’s sunken cemetery that is just a mere 15 feet below the water’s surface. This is where many believe the lost graves still remain and local lore tells stories of spirits trapped just beneath the dark waters of Cemetery Cove.

Are you brave enough to paddle these waters as your tour takes you deep into the Cove? It’s frightening, it’s unbelievably dark, and….it’s real! Join us — if you dare.

Reservations must be made in advance!

**Participants must be able to walk short distances and operate a canoe by paddling**

**Trip times vary depending on paranormal activity. Trips average between an hour-and-a-half to two hours not counting the  transportation and loading in and out of canoe **

Enjoy the fun with Canoe The Caney every Saturday and Sunday, where groups can adventure downstream 9 miles to Betty’s Island. Trips are available every hour from 9am until 1pm. The best booking times are 11am , 12pm , and 1 pm.

The trip will take approximately 4-5 hours to complete (could be more or less depending on the rate of water flow and the rate of your paddling). This trip is our most popular choice!

On the 9 mile trip, you will see sites such as the “old 1800’s train bridge”, the “Pirate Cave” , and filming locations from the movie The Green Mile starring Tom Hanks! Many people have also spotted Bald Eagles that nest at a secret hiding spot on this trip!
