Caney Fork Generator Schedule

Center Hill Dam on Caney Fork River Tenessee

Check out the Caney Fork Generation Schedule to see what the water flow will be today. Keep in mind, this is posted daily by TVA and is the latest and only information we have for the generation schedule. Make sure you have the desired water flow and level before heading to the river. Too low isn’t a problem but too high and it could be unwise for a beginner to try paddling the river.
The amount of water being released into the river from the Center Hill Dam generation is based on the number of generators being used in the nearby Center Hill hydro-electric power plant, and hence can be adversely affected by the weather or simply by increased power usage.

0 Generation Water Flow

When there are no generators, the waterflow on the Caney Fork will be very slow. This is the optimal time for fishing as well as if you are wanting slow float with lots of paddling.

1 Generator Water Flow

One generator is considered the ideal river flow. Slow enough to have a longer trip while fast enough to not have to wear yourself out paddling.

2 or More Generators Water Flow

Two or more generators create a quick trip which is only for more experienced paddlers wanting a very fast flowing and short lived trip.
