Our Hours
Hours and Directions for Canoe the Caney. Lucky for us, summertime in Tennessee is long and hot! Our season is heavily influenced by when the weather starts warming up in the spring and when the weather starts cooling off in the winter. The spring season begins on April 1st and extends through the fall to October 31st. For trip departure times, as well as other dates outside our peak summer schedule, please call in advance for availability and operating hours.
- Peak Season Operating Time
Our peak season runs from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day. We are open 7 days a week from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm, CST. - Extended Season Operating Time
Throughout our extended season (before Memorial Day and after Labor Day), our hours change to 9:00-4:00, CST.
During the peak summer days, we extend our hours a bit to be sure everyone gets as much time on the river as possible! Our last trip usually leaves the store between 2:00 – 3:00 with our last pick-up at 6:00.
Canoe and kayak trips are available year-round on the Caney Fork River, depending on weather and river conditions. Come experience the magnificent scenery offered in all four season in this great state of Tennessee. Check HERE for help planning your trip!
DIRECTIONS:
Canoe the Caney is in an easily accessible location. Located an hour from Nashville, two hours from Knoxville, and two hours from Chattanooga. Our address is 17055 Smithville Hwy, Silver Point TN 38582.
From Nashville:
Take Interstate 40 (I-40) East to Exit 273. Make a right off the exit. We are 1 mile on your right in a large red and white building. (JBeez Watercraft)
