Get ready for one of our most exciting flat water paddling adventures!

The Hidden Waterfall Excursion takes paddlers on a six mile round trip excursion on Center Hill Lake. Enjoy the gorgeous scenery of Center Hill as you paddle along the shoreline and back into a private cove. As you traverse the cove, keep your eyes and ears open for the sound of trickling water as there are up to 13 waterfalls of varying sizes along the way. As you round the final bend into the secluded cove you will hear the pounding of water and the rushing wind as it blows on your face. Once you get past the bend you will see the massive Falls in the distance! Be sure to have your phones ready for the absolutely gorgeous Falls.

The Hidden Waterfall Excursion is available at limited times only. Being a lake trip, the water levels have to be just right to offer it. Bring your friends and family for one of the most scenic and breathtaking adventures you’ve ever experienced. We will shuttle you from our store to the launch area and unload the boats for you. Once in the water we have guides that will direct the group and lead you across the open waters.

What to Expect on the Hidden Falls Excursion

While The Hidden Waterfall Excursion is one of our most popular trips and has some of the best scenery there is to offer, it can also be our most challenging trip. This paddle is on flat water and requires quite a bit of paddling with some pushback from the falls. While we do make several rest stops along the trip, it is around 3 miles each way. Once we reach the fall, depending on the water level, you may have to hike a short distance across uneven grounds to reach the base of the falls. Be sure to pack good water shoes if you are wanting to get adventurous on your paddle. This trip can be difficult for children or anyone looking for a leisure float on the river. Pro Tips:

• This trip is most enjoyable when paddling with a partner in either a canoe or tandem kayak.
• Be sure to wear good water shoes. If you don’t have water shoes, we do sell them in the store.
• Depending on water levels, there may be some minimal hiking over uneven ground to get close to the falls.
• Children under the age of 12 should be in a canoe with two adults for optimal experience.
• This is a moderate to strenuous paddle excursion. Know your limits. Our 6-Mile Scenic River Trip is an easy and beautiful paddle!

As the Hidden Waterfall Excursion is a flat water lake paddle with some pushback from the waterfall, the paddle to and from can require some extra effort, especially if you are use to the gentle flow of the Caney Fork River… We suggest you share the effort with a paddle partner.
