Setting the stage for this chilling adventure, The Haunted Canoe Trip takes you into the spooky world of Center Hill Lake after dark. This haunting venture is an epic, spine-tingling ghost tour that first wanders to the old cemetery. Stay close and hear the accounts of a flooded town with graves, ghostly encounters, unexplained voices, and eerie sounds.

Quiver at the stories of ghostly hauntings as you continue slowly down the dark path through the base leading to the water’s edge. Once there, board your canoe and paddle over the original location of the old 1800s sunken cemetery that is just a mere 15 feet below the water’s surface. This is where many believe lost graves still remain and those spirits trapped just beneath these dark waters of Cemetery Cove.

What to Expect on the Haunted Canoe Trip

*This is not like a Haunted House. There are no jump scares or traps. This is also not a paddle trip on the river.*

The Haunted Canoe Trip is a 2.5-3 hour tour that begins with a bus ride down to the old military installation. It is recommended you wear comfortable and sturdy walking shoes as the walking tour goes over rough terrain. After the 45-55 minutes walking tour, you will arrive at the water’s edge, where you will board your canoe for a 30-45 minute paddle deep into the waters of Cemetery Cove. Having warm clothes is a must as the water can get quite cold at night.

• Priority Seating in Bus – (guests get to board first and get to sit near the front where they can hear one of the storytellers better)
• Preferential Position in line and During Tour – Closer to the storyteller (VIP guests will be allowed off the bus first and will be able to get in close to the storyteller before the event begins)
• Lead Position in Canoe  – Closer to guide boat and storyteller (VIP guests will be taken to the canoes first ahead of others and will be able to get placement closer to guide boat – will be up to guests to maintain position throughout the tour – guests can opt to stay close to the storyteller or can paddle at their own leisure)
