About Trout Fishing

Trout fishing in Tennessee is easy on the Caney Fork River. Looking to catch the Big One? The Caney Fork is stocked by the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency with over 100,000 fish every year. This makes the river an angler’s paradise for trout fishing! It is not uncommon for fishers to hook five and six-pound trout! That’s right, we measure them by the pound on the Caney!

The best area for trout fishing on the Caney Fork is completely accessible by our canoes or kayaks. We’ll drop you off at the boat ramp just below Center Hill Dam. Here you will find an abundance of fish already in attendance! The Caney Fork River is about 20-30 yards wide, on average with a nice slow flow, so it is the perfect spot to catch the fish your family and friends will hear about for years!
